  Summer 2008 The Otay Ranch Annouces Plans for Montecito, It's Largest and Most Ambitious Village
For its largest and most ambitious village to date, The Otay Ranch Company sought inspiration from one of California’s most beloved communities – the beautiful seaside village of Santa Barbara.  The 838-acre village of Montecito, located on a mesa between Olympic Parkway and Wolf Canyon, is the fourth village in the 5,300-acre community of Otay Ranch.  Planned for approximately 2,800 homes, Montecito is scheduled to begin home sales in 2009.

Otay Ranch's new residential enclave of Montecito Ridge features 361 single-family homes on a ridge overlooking the 280-acre Wolf Canyon , located just south of the village of Hillsborough . Home sales commenced in summer 2006.
