Promenade Street What is a promenade street? Otay Ranch's promenade streets are connector roads that are designed to feature eight-foot-wide sidewalks, that are flanked by Chinese pistache trees. These deciduous trees were selected to shelter the sidewalks and form a shady canopy of bright green leaves in the spring and summer, changing to bright red in the fall. Promenade streets are planned to link residential areas to the village center. They are another amenity characteristic of our pedestrian-friendly community.
