The Plan for Mixed-Use Promenade at Otay Ranch Town Center Gets "Smart Growth" Certification

Baldwin & Sons’ Promenade at Otay Ranch Town Center was awarded the Circulate Mobility Certification on November 1, 2018 from a smart growth advocacy group Circulate San Diego. Colin Parent, Executive Director and General Counsel at Circulate San Diego said, “The committee members were very impressed with the project. We are excited to support it.”

...a nonstop transit that goes from Otay Mesa to downtown in just 30 minutes! Phase 2 of South Bay Rapid's Transit will be open early 2019 and will feature stops conveniently located near our communities at Otay Ranch. Never get stranded again!

Plan unveiled for new school in Otay Ranch

An elementary school featuring classrooms flooded with natural light, buildings with energy-efficient components and areas for collaborative learning will be constructed in Otay Ranch to accommodate an influx of students moving into new homes.

Baldwin & Sons Featured In Our Hometown Magazine

 

CEO Al Baldwin and Baldwin & Sons were mentioned in the latest edition of Our Hometown Magazine, a source for local community news and events happening in Chula Vista. We were honored to support the South Bay Pumpkin Smash event as it was a huge success. In addition, Al Baldwin was given a shout out for his donation to South Bay Community Services. "Baldwin & Sons has been a proud supporter of SBCS and their many worthwile programs for years... dedicated to making change in their communities by improving the lives of those in need" said Al.

Veterans Honored In Chula Vista

Veterans Day is a day of reflection, rememberance, and honor for our military veterans. The City of Chula Vista will be recognizing the holiday with several upcoming events:

- November 1st - 13th: Otay Ranch Branch Library (2015 Birch Rd) will provide supplies to the public to write and decorate thank you cards to veterans which will be shipped overseas for the holidays.

Montecito Haunted Trails

"Hi neighbors, this is Carlos and Cristina from Pershing Road in the Village of Montecito. Our community has always been known for its Holiday spirit and we want to help continue the tradition.

This year, a few nieghbors came together and created a Montecito Haunted Trails map featuring homes in our community that exemplify the Halloween spirit so that the local kids can go around searching for these spooky homes on Halloween night.

Montecito Park Now Open

On April 25th, the City of Chula Vista and Baldwin & Sons celebrated the Grand Opening of Otay Ranch’s Montecito Park.

Montecito Park is located directly next to the Montecito Swim Club just north of Santa Diana Road. The park will give local residents a convenient place to relax with their families, friends and loved ones.

Heritage Road Now Open

On April 23rd, The City of Chula Vista, Home Fed, and Baldwin & Sons joined forces for the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Heritage Road. Attendees included Chula Vista Mayor Mary Casillas Salas and Councilmembers John McCann, Patricia Aguilar, and Steve Padilla.

Heritage Road is now open and will allow homeowners easy access to popular attractions such as SeaWorld’s Aquatic Waterpark and concert venue Mattress Firm Amphitheatre.
