Baldwin & Sons Welcomes Numerous Families into their Dream Homes Amidst Sales Surge

By Melissa Hazlett, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Baldwin & Sons

Sales of homes in Southern California remain hot despite the uncertainties caused by the coronavirus. Southern California is, after all, one of the country’s most desirable places to live. Nothing compares to the world-class beaches, lifestyle amenities and the moderate, sunny year-round climate.

Buyers within our San Diego and Orange County communities have been purchasing at record rates. The ease at which the process with our buyers has progressed over the past few months is a welcome counterpoint to some of the unrelated challenges we all face. With protocols in place to keep everyone involved safe, our buyers have been free to focus on finding their dream homes without having to sacrifice their health.

“We have been on the market for a while, and Tosara was always on the top of our list due to the community’s exceptional price-per-living space, and we couldn't miss the opportunity when we heard there was a corner unit available. Although there are a lot of uncertainties regarding COVID-19, one thing is certain, I'm still a tenant and rent is due no matter the circumstances, so why would I keep paying for somebody else's property when I can finally invest in my own home?” – Edgar A.

Within Otay Ranch specifically, numerous communities and countless floor plans await families of all types, no matter their varied needs and budgets. From quality starter homes in the townhome style, to full-out luxury detached abodes with incredible indoor-outdoor spaces, we have something for everyone.

When we first toured the Signature home models we fell in love with the California Room and outdoor living potential. We selected model #2, which offered a suite downstairs, spacious bedrooms and overall open feel. We liked the community and that the assigned schools have high ratings. My daughter is excited to have a park with a pool just a few steps from our house. When we first started looking for a new home we didn’t know how bad our public health crisis situation would become. We had some money already saved and the market seemed good at that time to sell our current property. Our eldest daughter starts Kindergarten later this year and we just felt it was the time to buy our forever home and not have to switch her from schools. We have been lucky to continue to do our jobs from home during this difficult time.” – Hans & Illiana F.

Just last week, we were able to complete over 30 new contracts and hand keys over to all those new buyers. We are so incredibly proud of the heightened service our sales staff has delivered during this time and want to welcome our new residents. We built these homes for you and your children and hope you will be able to celebrate many family birthdays, anniversaries and milestones in them!
