COVID-19 has impacted so many across the country with lay-offs, furloughs and financial stress. As a builder, we recognize we’ve been luckier than many, being deemed an essential business and allowed to continue operations during safer-at-home mandates. Our team has decided to help some of those less fortunate in the region with an important fundraising campaign designed to help local families in need. We invite you to join us if you are able.
The fundraising effort supports South Bay Community Services (SBCS), a San Diego non-profit providing a wide range of services for youth and families in San Diego County. The organization has dramatically stepped up efforts to provide healthy food to vulnerable children and families during this period of unprecedented hardship. Prior to COVID-19, SBCS was serving 450 individuals per week. That assistance has since expanded to support 5,250 individuals per week, as need has increased tremendously.
South Bay Community Services works efficiently with volunteers and purchases food from food banks; however, there is currently a significant weekly shortfall. Please consider joining our team at Baldwin & Sons in helping to keep our local families in need fed.
